Glowcose started as a small light on a nightstand — a simple way for a husband to support his pregnant wife by showing her glucose levels without constant alarms or questions. That quiet idea sparked a bigger thought: what if awareness could come to us gently? What if peace of mind didn’t demand constant attention? That became Glowcose, a visual link to glucose levels for both the person living with diabetes and the people who care about them.
Our connection to Glowcose is personal. Living with type 1 diabetes is loud, alerts, numbers, decisions, constant vigilance. Glowcose offered something different: a calm, visual cue that supports without adding to the noise. It gives our family quiet reassurance, creating shared awareness without pressure or constant check ins.
We are genuinely excited to bring Glowcose to New Zealand, and to offer that same sense of peace and shared understanding to homes across the country.
How it works
Getting your glucose readings onto Glowcose is pretty simple. We designed the system to connect easily with your CGM to get your data without a fuss. Your Glowcose web app takes those glucose readings and turns them into colors based on how you've have them set up in your account. Then, your glowcose uses your home Wi-Fi to simply get that color from your account, updating instantly to show you the latest status.

We made sure you have control over the color levels. Each glucose reading turns into one of hundreds of possible colors, shifting smoothly. You can easily set your own high, low, and target numbers in the settings. This lets you personalize exactly how your glucose levelsshine. It's all about making glowcose work best for you.
